GETTING TO THREDBO

Thredbo Village is in the Snowy Mountains of NSW just a 2 1/2 hour drive from Canberra and 3 hour drive from Albury/Wodonga and 5 hours from Sydney. For those travelling from Albury/Wodonga or even Melbourne the Kosciuszko Alpine Way is a sealed road offering an alternate, scenic route from the Hume Highway, between Goulburn and Albury.

THREDBO is situated in the Kosciuszko National Park and the National Parks and Wildlife Service collect an entry fee into the park. A daily fee is $15 or an annual fee may be purchased for just $80 that also gains entry to all national parks within NSW. This entry fee assists with the maintenance of national parks within NSW such as signage and walking trails. For more information phone the Snowy Region Visitor Centre on (02) 6450 5600.

Qantas Link flies especially for THREDBO summer festivals between Sydney and Cooma airport - which is just one hour by road from THREDBO. There are transfers from Cooma airport so you could be in THREDBO from Sydney in as little as 2 hours!
